Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
I am excited to announce that Amanda Soares Registered Massage Therapy will be opening back up on June 1, 2020. I will be operating at a reduced capacity and have staggered appointment start times. I have added larger breaks between appointments to allow for enhanced disinfecting cleaning as well. The clinic will adhere to a documented cleaning and disinfecting schedule of the common areas as advised by WorkSafeBC and the BCCDC.
These are the policies and procedures set in place by our Public Health Officer, WorkSafeBC, CMTBC and RMTBC. These policies are in place to help mitigate risk even further. I take the responsibility of your health and safety very seriously, as well as my own. I have based my decisions on best evidence and best practices. With that, you will notice that things may look different in the clinic but the level of care and attention will be the same. I ask that you help us keep everyone safe by adhering to the following policies for Phase 2.
Please read the following procedures carefully.
Please stay home and cancel your appointment if experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19/flu/ cold, including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose.
Do Not enter the clinic if you have been contact with an individual infected by Covid-19 or is ill in any way.
Please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled outside of British Columbia in the past 14 days.
There will be a mandatory screening process one day prior to all appointments. I will be contacting you via phone call to ensure you are not experiencing any symptoms or risk factors associated with COVID-19.
Please wait in your vehicles or outside the clinic until I come and open the door for you, as we are limiting the number of patients in the clinic at a time.
Please do not bring any friends or family members along with you into the clinic; with the exception of a minor and a parent/caregiver.
Please do not bring any outside food or beverages into the clinic.
You will be required to wash your hands/ use hand sanitizer upon entering the clinic, and again after your treatment.
I will be taking a forehead temperature reading from you when you arrive at your appointment. I will also be checking my temperature through out the day.
There will be a sanitized bin for you to place your clothes and belonging into.
I will be wearing a clean new mask for the entire time as well as clean safety glasses and apron during the treatment.
Patients will be required to wear a mask upon entering the clinic and during the treatment as we are not able to maintain physical distancing precautions in the treatment rooms. I am asking patients to provide their own mask (cloth or disposable). If you do not have a mask one will be provided for you.
As per usual, laundry will be washed in hot water with detergent and disinfectant. All surfaces touched by myself and/or patients will be sanitized.
There will be no cancellation fee if you need to cancel due to illness.
I am very excited to see you back at the clinic, and I thank you for understanding the policies we have put in place for Phase 2.

Who I Am and What I Do
My Journey
I am a 2012 graduate of the 3000 hour registered massage therapy program at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. I am a member of the College of Massage Therapist of British Columbia (CMTBC) as well as the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia (RMTBC ). When I was first introduced to massage therapy I was amazed at the powerful effects massage had on performance, overall body function and general health that I decided to become a Registered Massage Therapist. I grew up in Prince George and have been practicing here since I have received my professional licence. I bring comprehensive knowledge that I have gained through my education and experience to assess clients concerns and come up with the best treatment, suited to their specific needs and goals. My ultimate goal is to assist my clients to achieve and maintain optimal health and pain free body function through assessment, treatment and education in self-care.
